A Special Introduction

Naomi Sirmans and Emerald DeLeeuw

Happy Weekend Everybody!

This post is a little different, as I have a special announcement to make.  A dear friend of mine, Emerald, is going to start contributing to Dream and Pursue.

Emerald is a pretty amazing person.   In fact, she’s the type of person who, if I were to describe her and tell you all of her accomplishments, I would have to be a neurosurgeon supermodel who travels the world to help eliminate world hunger in order to measure up! 😉

I met Emerald at the gym by happenstance.  We had a little chat, and went our separate ways.  The next day, I was going to a start-up entrepreneurial event.  These events are often male dominated, and I was sitting in my seat chatting with the man behind me, when a lady came up behind me and greeted the man I was chatting to.  I turned, and who should it be, but ‘the girl from the gym’.    Emerald also lived in my general area, so we commuted to and from the event together that weekend, giving us the opportunity to get to know each other a bit better, but you know how with some people you just click?  That’s how it was with Em.   I love sarcastic, fun humour and Emerald has a way of making me laugh when I least expect it.  As time has passed and our friendship has grown, there have been times when I was crying feeling like my life was falling apart and Emerald would say something to make me laugh right in the middle of it all!

Emerald and I are alike in many ways, and in others we are polar opposites.  This blog is about pursuing life to the fullest and following your dreams.  I know you will find her posts refreshing and insightful, so stay tuned for Emeralds’ first post which will go live on Monday.
