Recently, I got to go to the Galway Races with the company I work for, WhatSalon. WhatSalon is an app where you can book salon appointments instantly – like Hailo but for hair š On WhatSalon, we have a periscope channel where we do videos with makeup tutorials, hair stylists and capture beauty-related events – which is what brought me to Galway. It was also my first time ever being at the races. My Grandfather used to love the races! I remember as a kid, seeing him leave for the races, looking as sophisticated as he did for business. I adored my Grandfather. So, it was really fun to be able to see a glimpse into the world he loved – even if it was across the ocean and we spent the day in awe of all the beautifully styled ladies! Actually, I think such a day at the races is the perfect day out – for women it’s the opportunity to get dressed up – and it’s like a living fashion magazine when you are there! For men, they have the thrill of the races. We were on the hunt for Ireland’s most stylish ladies all day and only sat down to watch the last race – but there was such a fun thrill to it! I can definitely see how people get hooked – and why my Grandfather loved the races so much!
Here’s a peek at the blog post from WhatSalon, so you can get an idea of what I mean by a living fashion magazine!
